Hey everyone, I am a senior and just got accepted to MA programs in critical studies-USC, cinema and media studies-UCLA, MAPH-UChicago (with some scholarship), and film studies-Columbia U. I guess i could say that I am pretty well prepared for grad school and am definitely aiming at the doctoral programs after I graduate. I have several projects going on right now, and I can really see myself working with profs from all these institutions. So far, I've been thinking a lot about UChicago and Columbia. I've heard some negative things about MAPH at UChicago though. MAPH is cheaper for sure and it is only a one year program. Nonetheless, I enjoy NYC and Columbia might just give me more academic opportunities. Well, what do you think? Please help out, im really struggling here!! Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!! Thanks!! p.s. if i go to UChicago, i would have to gap a year in order to apply for the PhDs.
