Hi guys! I'm starting a PhD in Electrical Engineering this year, and I just wanted to ask how difficult it would be to live off campus without a car? I'm not really sure about the double-bed grad "dorm", as I would prefer to find my feet beforehand, maybe in a reasonably priced studio flat. Any suggestions really appreciated! Cheers

San Diego and G-tech I'm pretty sure have given out all their primary offers (I contacted UCSD and they said so), and my friends got fellowships from UTA ages ago, so I guess I wouldn't get my hopes up. (This way anything that DOES come up will be a very welcome surprise) Personally, I've given up on any schools that haven't answered yet, and will accept my only funded admit unless something changes DRASTICALLY in the next few days.
