I plan to retake my GRE and build up my profile by working as a RA for 1-2 years in the field of my interest so that I can apply to PhD programs at credited universities next year or the year after. Though I know it's never too late to do your PhD. I was curious to know at what age most people started their PhD...

I am going through the same thing. I noticed that you have also applied to a Neuroscience PhD program, perhaps we're waiting to hear back from the same university!

I applied and received acceptance to the Neuroscience/Biological Sciences program in WSU-Pullman, University at Buffalo, University of Cincinnati- College of Medicine and Indiana University-Bloomington.
I cannot decide which of these schools would benefit me the most in the future.
On another note, should I take up an RA position at a well-known university before applying to high-tier graduate programs in another year or two?
Any suggestions/advice for this bachelor's student whose interest lies in Neuroscience alone?
Standard Age Range for PhD candidates?
