My status in the research portal for UBC still states "Received by administrator." My two other schools have made decisions. There must be a problem with my application, right? Surely they are not still deciding. I emailed the address listed for Scholarships and Awards at UBC's Grad Department 4 days ago but have not heard back. Thoughts on who I should bug next?

I was suprised, too, by how wildly different my offers were. My "$17 500" scholarship is worth $4500 at one school and $13 500 at another!.

1. They are interested in the last 2 years of study, not your "last annual gpa." Does this help? 2. Is there anything you can do about this? Your grades are in, so it seems unlikely. An important part of being a healthy person, in my opinion, is to only worry about things you have power over.

Interesting. I have heard the opposite. My advisor even told me not to apply there because they don't have the name brand necessary to get you into a tier 1 PHD.

I am on the waitlist for the MA at U of British Columbia and Dalhousie. Both have told me to be hopeful for some movement this week. Accepted at Western Ontario with amazing funding, so at least there's that. Good luck all! If anyone is planning to drop from UBC or Dal please let me know!
