1.

I have it as well, I don't think it means anything.
2. Hello all. I am not very familiar with all the aspects of graduate student funding, so perhaps someone can help make this clearer. I've ogt an email telling me I would get funding for 4 years (as an RA) covering tuition, health insurance and a stipend. So my question is - what happens after 4 years ? from what I am aware PhD programs can last anywhere between 4 to 7 years, does this mean: 1. "Let's see what happens in 4 years", if needed the funding can be extended or 2. 4 years, thats it, the rest is on you, make your considerations accordingly Any insights ? Thanks.
3. I got admitted from area III, got the email a couple of days ago.
4. A Professor from Berkeley set an interview with me about 3 weeks ago. Actually, I didn't really realize it was going to be an interview the way he put it, which is probably for the best or I would have really gotten anxious about it He emailed me asking if we could talk, I said sure, he called asked me a few technical questions then told me about his lab and current research and asked me what my interests are and if any of that appealed to me. After two weeks I got the email from them. From MIT I haven't heard anything up until yesterday when I got the acceptance email.
5. I posted my profile in the profile thread: But I don't think it'll tell you much, I don't see it stamd out in any particular way.
6. By email, no real details yet, mostly information regarding the open-day.

8. I also got a posiive reply from MIT. Too bad the visiting day comes in a really inconvenient time for me.
