Anybody hear from Rutgers? I thought the deadline of responding their offer is March 20th. I am waitlisted, torturing~~~~

Hi all, I am just curious about the Rutgers offer posted on the results page. Could you speak out? How much funding you offer and how many people they admitted this year. I am wait-listed, so eager to figure this out. Thanks

Hi, I contacted my POI and found out I am rejected. And on the website, my status remains un-updated. So I assume, all acceptances are already sent out. and if you have not got one, probably is a rejection. Congratulations!!! where is your offer from?

Anybody know some good Cultural studies programs in the U.S, concentrating on postmodernism, feminism or queer theory? I plan to expand my research interests. I also post a thread somewhere else but got no response. Thanks

I didn't get in my dream school this year and start to think how to improve myself next year. Because of the economy crisis. I wonder if I should shift my concentration from public school to private school since private school may still have some money leftover? Help me out!Thanks

Hi all, I am new here and I have couples of questions about cultural studies. I am an international student but currently in the US for my MA in women's studies.My research interests are mainly in queer theory, late-capitalism, post-colonialism, orientalism and pomo. I applied cultural anthropology this year but the results turned out to be not good：（ I think maybe critical theory and cultural studies, women's studies are more suitable for me so I plan to give it a try. But now I have no idea where to start. Could anybody recommend some grad programs for me? And what you think to make a competitive application? what they are looking for in your application? Thanks a million!

Good news, I have not got anything from them. But I emailed POI and she said I did not get in. So that probably means it is an offer!

Thank you so much! I know it is particularly hard for international students this year. I have been in the U.S for three years and the year I got here I, as well as my 11 classmates, received a full scholarship. But last year, our program only accepted 6 people, one funding.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I applied to cultural wing hoping working with Prof. Li Zhang and some other feminist scholars there. But I don't know if they are on the ad committee though. Do you have any idea that how many people applied and they will accept this year? seems to be a lot from my conversation with the grad coordinator yesterday. Also, how's the department's financial situation ? Thanks.

Who also applied UC Davis? Let's talk about it. It is my last hope...... I called yesterday and the grad coordinator said it will take couples of weeks for them to finalize the decisions.

I emailed them and yes, they have made the first round acceptances. but they said they won't send out rejection until next month so technicially our applications still remain "active"
