  1. I spoke to the people at Harvard GSAS about some other stuff today and asked about this as well. They said that decisions have been made and that letters are currently being sent out, and they'll all have been put in the mail by March 15th. Hope that helps!
  2. many congrats to all the Columbia admits! Particularly to Oxon, you've been hoping for an east coast place haven't you? You must be happy!
  3. Also, well done to all the Princeton admits! V impressive and many congrats to you all!
  4. Anyone else find that their Columbia application status form isn't working properly? Updating maybe...?
  5. Mine seems to be working fine. Do you mean in the 'Downloadable forms' bit?
  6. Haha! That's hilarious!
  7. Hope so! I'm at home today so shall be joining in the rain dance to give it extra support...
  8. I'm guessing that you know from one of your old profs, yes? Think it's my last hope after my LSE disaster!
  9. Yup, Columbia form works for me as well. On another note - has anyone else applied to Oxford? Am I right that we're not expecting to hear from them until the middle of March? Seems like a looooooong wait for that one....
  10. I'm a Yale reject too! 0 for 3. Good record this year!
  11. Anyone got any info on Yale decisions? They were out by this time last year, no?
  12. Yeah waiting for the afternoons is rubbish! Trying to sleep in in the mornings to make the wait less gruelling... My concentration is comparative politics and democratic studies, particularly looking at how supranational institutions work. Yours? Name is German (actually Blumenau, not Blumenrat) but I'm British, in London. And you?
  13. Yeah it is v weird - even stranger is that I was encouraged to apply BY one of the professors who gave me a reference and is head of some parts of the course. He said to me that I would definitely get an offer from the LSE and that I should use it as a reason to go for broke with other colleges because I would always know that I'd have the LSE to fall back on! So it's very frustrating that they've now said no. I've sent him an email hoping to get some sort of an answer but it's three hours before the close of business over here and I'm still waiting for a reply... Arg! I was applying to the MRes/PhD in Political Science. How about you?
  14. My first post on here and unfortunately an unhappy one, but I thought might help for others to see how much of a terrible crapshoot the application process can be! Just been rejected by the LSE. I'm an LSE graduate, having got not only a first class degree in July but also receiving university prizes for best results in second year, best overall degree results in the politics dept., and also the politics undergraduate dissertation prize as well as having LORs from the head of the politics dept. and from the Prof who heads the PhD course I applied to and yet I STILL get rejected! Honestly, what more can I do?!! Also rejected by Stanford today (though that was more expected) so now feeling really rubbish! Ah well, always next year I suppose... Good luck to all.
