Hi all,
I'm new here and just wanted some thoughts about what to do with my life. I've been accepted to a few [very different] public/global health programs. They are the following:
Emory MPH - Global Health
UofT MPH - Health Promotion (with $5000 scholarship)
LSE MSc - Global Health (1 year)
I've also applied to LSHTM for MSc Public Health (applied very recently and very late in the game, but I also applied to LSE around the same time and got a response back within two week).
My ultimate goal is to combine clinical expertise and public health practice at the community level, servicing vulnerable people and promoting equity of access. I have a particular interest in developing countries. I hope to be applying to medical school in the near future. The 1 year program would be ideal for applying this year. Although I hope to pursue medical school sooner rather than later, I am willing to fulfill a two years masters if needed.
Any insights on reputation, career prospects, costs, whatever is appreciated. Thanks!
