Hi, as a recently admitted student into MS in Electrical Engineering in KU Leuven in Belgium, I am very new to this forum. The celebration of acceptance is over, and it is time for me to prepare for a PhD application!
I would like to attend a PhD program in a decent U.S college after I will finish my MS degree in Belgium. For that reason, I am looking for a professional PhD consultant who can give me advices during my master degree.
I am not looking for a person who will make the PhD applications for me during my last semester. I am looking for a service which evaluates my current application package, addresses my weaknesses and suggests me ways to compensate for them.
I have very serious weaknesses from my undergraduate degree, especially my very low undergrad GPA (which isn't entirely my fault, but a result of my previous school's ridiculous grading system in Turkey, which I don't like to talk about anymore.) That's why I am seeking a professional consultant who have worked at a decent college's admission committee. I believe he or she can suggest me strategies to improve my application package.
I have 2 years ahead of me to compensate for my weaknesses, and I believe if these 2 years are planned in the right direction, it might have a tremendous affect on my chances to be accepted into a decent PhD.
I found a website called admissions consultants, they claim that all of their consultants worked previously at admission committees. However, I don't know whether it is a scam or not. I have never seen a review in anywhere about them.
Is there anybody who can suggest me a good consultant?
Thank you in advance!
