You get access to supercomputing infrastructure too (XSEDE)!! Now we need to use XSEDE to help get a paper out and then write about it the next time we apply

I second this (I had graduate-level biophysics, biochemistry, and microbial genetics courses with literature components). This is excellent advice.

Just confirmed Emory MMG (+ fellowship)! Definitely the best fit for my research interests (bacteriology and antibiotic resistance). Good luck to everyone making decisions!

Thanks! Quite strange indeed. I submitted my application in early November so maybe they reviewed it early. In fact, I just got an email yesterday from UIUC verifying my application was complete (hmmmm...lol). They made the interview weekend Feb 25-26 - now I know why
