If you don't mention specific field nor area, I would rank them as follows in terms of school's reputation in ECE. UIUC>Umich>=Princeton>UCSD But it really depends on which field you are talking about. Umich may be strong in EM, princeton will be strong in theoretical research, UCSD is strong in circuits, UIUC is strong in SP or communications. and so on (I may be biased) For more specific advice, you should provide more situation of yours, it seems.
