Guys, I already posted my question in this forum, but got only two replies, and thought that asking you all was worth it anyway. Well, I'm a MIA early bird applicant, and I know notifications about our admissions are expected in a week or something. However, two days ago I received an e-mail saying that I got a (pretty) prestigious internship starting in a couple of months (when my current internship ends) and lasting until September - which is exactly when I would start my Master's at IHEID if admitted. Should I notify them about it? Can it have an impact of their final decision in some ways - in terms of work experience/appeal as potential candidate/whatever? How would you guys handle it? Thanks!

I have not talked with any POIs unfortunately. I thought of e-mailing the Admission Office, but still, I don't think it would make any difference, especially considering that (A) they should forward this info to the Admission Committee and I am not sure whether this is something feasible or not, and (B) from Monday on, any day could be the one I will receive the final decision (they are expected in mid-January), which by the way might have already been made - maybe this new internship might change it, though? What do you guys think?

Applied for the early deadline, and accidentally found this thread just a couple of days ago. Actually, when I went through it, I hoped @El pichichi's prophecy was right. But given the break you mentioned, they either notifies us within the next two days OR in mid-January.

Hi guys! I applied to the MIA at the IHEID as well. I am very happy I found this thread! @taeyeon caught my attention with the HTML code thing, as the hidden section 'invoice' and the voice 'payment' and 'download' appear to me, too. What about you guys? It might mean nothing, but if they have popped up only to a few of us, maybe it is a good sign or something? Thanks for the feedbacks!
