I was surprised that I got into...anywhere.  

Background story:

I only have a 3.2, and a guidance counselor told me not to bother applying anywhere.  She said I wouldn't get in anywhere decent.  I went ahead and applied anyway.  And I guess all the undergraduate research paid off.  I think my grades were offset by the fact I was in ROTC for the first half of college... it was tricky to juggle a math-heavy major while in the program (I'm not a math whiz).
 
And here I am, 12 months after she told me not to bother applying, getting ready to go to Hopkins, the top school in my field so glad I didn't listen!

OMG! I WAS JUST ADMITTED INTO MY TOP CHOICE. I'M GOING TO GRAD SCHOOL!!

I don't have a good resource, but I also hate the ranking system. You should be most focused on the faculty they have and resources you will have available to you. Are there faculty doing things you're interested in that are being productive and are taking students?

Invites for Columbia's Integrated Program started going out today.

I have a feeling only a handful of Scripps interview invites have gone out, and those are probably for certain focus areas. I'm waiting on Scripps as well!

Has he responded to your reminders?
Yeah, it's winter break, but he agreed to do this months ago. There's no problem with being pushy, so long as you're polite.
