  1. I believe Boston University is four semesters.
  2. So I am applying this season for Fall 2016, and UWashington is by FAR my top choice program. I am in love with the Medical SLP program they offer, as well as the adult-focused Core SLP program. I was wondering if anyone has any insights, either on the admission process or the two programs themselves. I would LOVE if anyone has some insight into the differences between CORE vs MED programs, or the department in general. My GPA is 3.86 for speech coursework and around 3.78-3.83 overall (depending on how you calculate it). My GRE scores are V:163, Q:155, still waiting on the essay section. I am a certified Speech-language pathology assistant, and I did my internship at my local Veterans Hospital. I stayed at the VA as a volunteer in speech-pathology and have around 250 hours so far. I also volunteer at a local children's hospital in the rehabilitation department (OT/PT/SLPs), with around 100 hours so far. Currently, I am enrolled in an Applied Biostatistics graduate certificate program at UWashington (online learning). I enrolled in this program because I wanted to make sure my stats skills were on point before I went to grad school, plus I want to apply to the PhD program at UWashington after my masters, and the online biostat program is the same series of classes the speech PhD students take. Unfortunately, I learned that graduate level statistics courses are not something you want to take online, and I did get a B in the first class. I'm not sure how much that will hurt me.... I have extensively researched the school, the curriculum, the professors, placement sites, etc. This just feels like the perfect fit, and I want to do everything possible to get in! I keep hearing how crazy competitive the program is. Thank you so much for any information you can provide!
