Hey all, I have been wait listed at NYU Cinema Studies (PhD) and I was wondering if anybody who got accepted is thinking of declining his/her offer? If so, could you let me know? Many thanks!

Hey filmnerd. Last week, I received my rejection from UCLA by snail mail. If you haven't heard from them yet, it might be a good sign. Although I believe that someone on this forum also mentioned that they will be sending out decisions over the next couple of weeks as well. It shouldn't take them too long anymore though. Congrats on all your acceptances! Are you going for the MA or the PhD? That is quite an impressive list of schools you can choose from? Do you already have an idea which program you would like to attend?

Thanks Film_Freak! Congrats on your acceptances (and to all the others as well of course)! Have to say that I don't know what to make of this waitlist-situation though. Should I be skeptical or hopeful about my chances of being accepted from the waitlist? So if anybody is going to reject his or her offer, keep me posted! Good luck to all!

Hey all, did anybody hear anything from: NYU - Cinema Studies (PhD) UCLA - Cinema and Media Studies (PhD) Yale - Film Studies (PhD) Harvard - Folm and Visual Studies (PhD) Brown - Modern Culture and Media (PhD) U Chicago - Cinema and Media Studies (PhD) Northwestern - Screen Cultures (PhD) I have heard nothing from the above mentioned schools. Also, when is USC - Critical Studies (PhD) going to announce its candidates (so far, I have only seen rejections on gradcafe)?
