Hmm, so apparently my school's adviser mentioned (a few weeks ago) that we'll hear about finalist selection in late January. That may have been old news though, as people here have reported otherwise.
Either way, I hope decisions come out soon and that we all get recommended!
Out of curiosity, is there a difference between semi-finalist and finalist (I thought there were only finalists, after which is the official decision)?
Also, does everyone (all countries) receive finalist notification on the same day?
Hi all-
Is there a consensus on what the Fulbright finalist-to-acceptance ratio is? I know it must vary a lot by country, but how significant do you think it is to be a finalist? (And of course - it's really hard to be a finalist or a Fulbright scholar as it is) .
I'm really worried about possibly being named a finalist but then not getting the scholarship after additional months of waiting (thus hindering other opportunities). This is honestly the most nervous I've ever been for a decision waiting to happen!
