Hi, I just got accepted to the GPS Division with Environmental Science&Engineering option in Caltech. My POI said there would be an Open House on Feb 18&19, but I did not get official guide of the Open House, for things such as the reimbursement of airfare, the lodging and the schedule. Do you have any news? Also I saw you had an interview of Stanford. I am also applying for Stanford ( Earth System Science) and was invited to the Department Visit (on Feb 16) to have a more detailed and in-person interview with POI. Are you also required to have an in-person interview?

I just received the invitation to the Stanford Earth System Science Department visit day to have a more detailed, in-person interview from my POI. We had an unofficial interview before the application. I am wondering how to prepare for the visit day. I will have a chat with many professors in the department or only with POI? Do I need to give a presentation to introduce my research experience and interests? Is there anyone who has the experience of campus visit? I really need your help!

Is there someone applying for Earth System Science at Stanford University? I had an informal interview with POI via Skype before the application, maybe our talk is positive. We also discussed our research interests via e-mail then. But there is no official news after the application. It is also hard to find news about this program in thegradcafe.com.
