I have done quite a lot of Physics though I am a Biology major. I am only interested in theoretical models that are tested in light of available data.

Its about using principles from statistical mechanics and molecular evolution to characterize the dynamics of genome evolution such as in cancer cells, viral populations, how and at what rate natural selection will take place, what external factor govern whether a mutation in the genome will survive in the next generations etc.

I had mailed them last week and they said that invites will be sent next week. So I am still hopeful. I have little idea about whether this program sends invites collectively or do POIs send them in their own time. Since MIT generally invites people to Cambridge for interviews, I guess the invites are sent by the program admin and not POIs.
