Congrats to you both too! It's one of my top choices, so it's a relief going into my next few weeks of interviews at other places.

I emailed last week and they said they're still scheduling with professors to see what the best time would be.

Alright, thanks. I imagine they're busy coordinating everything, but I will probably send a follow-up email tomorrow too just to confirm.

Did anyone hear back yet from Columbia about alternative interview dates?

Haha, true! I swear it wasn't intentional, but when I @jjjjjelly's name, I laughed so hard. Now we just need a "peanut butter" somewhere so we can break out into the Peanut Butter Jelly Time song to de-stress before interviews haha

Congrats btw! Unfortunately, I am booked during the late week/weekend time until late March so the alternate "weekend" wouldn't work too well. I'm trying to see if I can come in on a Monday because I don't have classes then and I'm only a 5-hour bus ride from the city. It's probably very dependent on when the faculty who showed mutual interest are available though, so we'll see. Visiting to see the fit is key and I would prefer an in-person interview over a skype interview if possible. These are good problems to have though! Congrats again!

I am not sure how many people were invited but I will be going! Looking forward to seeing the city and meeting the faculty. Since scheduling interviews with faculty is first come first serve, I'm assuming a lot of individuals were invited. It's going to be fun!

Is UCSD BioE done sending out invitations? My application is still under review on their website but I've noticed that invitations/rejections were sent out earlier this month.

Got accepted to BME @ Rice! =D Very exciting! However, just like WashU in St. Louis, all of the open houses are scheduled during other times where I have already committed to an interview. I guess these are good problems though and I can skype with professors that are interested in doing research. I don't want to make a final decision though until I visit and see the fit, so maybe I'll have to visit on my own time. Thanks for checking. I'm sure they're just receiving a large influx of emails and calls and will likely get back to us sometime this week. This is probably a lot to coordinate for both sides.

Has anyone heard back from CWRU BME for scheduling travel to the BME Open House? I have yet to hear anything after confirming that I'm visiting. I'm assuming that the recruiting department is just busy with emails/setting everything up. Thanks!

It looks updated now, as it shows arrival dates for the day before the interview dates. I'm guessing that we make travel arrangments ourselves, as there is a reimbursement form on the website for after we interview. @tuckbroWhen you interviewed, did you arrive the day before the two interview dates? And did you stay for both days or just one? Thanks! Look forward to seeing some of you guys there!

Hi guys, new to the forum. Also got invited to interview at JHU. Couldn't be more excited! I second this question. Coming from out-of-state, are we supposed to make travel arrangements are selves and fill out the preferences form? Or will they give us travel arrangements based on what dates we tell them? It was fairly vague with what they sent us.
