Hi guys,
I am a new member to this site and have a few questions. I just graduated this winter with a B.A. in Political Science of California State University Long Beach, and really would like to continue my studies abroad in international studies in Europe. However, i have some concern. My GPA is an overall solid 3.03, with my major GPA being 3.3. My question is how likely do i even have a chance of being accepted into a masters program with such a low overall GPA. Granted, i know there are a lot of other factors that go into deciding my fate of being accepted. I don't have research experience, or much educational work experience. However, i did have the opportunity to study abroad for two of my bachelor years in Germany at the University of Tuebingen and University of Heidelberg.
My last question is, my fathers health significantly took a downturn with in and out visits to the hospital, personally becoming a care-taker for my father since coming back to do my last semester at my university. I still however got one of the highest semester GPA's in my uni career which was a 3.70. Can i somehow add this situation to my personal statement?
Edit: A lot of you might suggest doing the GRE, however it appears that it is not a requirement for most European master programs.
