I heard from my interview that it will come with the admission letter, either 1/3 or 2/3 tuition waiver.

Ah ok. Was this for a Master's or PhD? I was admitted as a Master's student but haven't heard anything about a partial tuition waiver. Oh well :(

  2. Thanks for the feedback everyone.

@Jay: Definitely interested in what Seattle offers, as it's one of my favorite cities. I'd love to live there.

@Olympic: From the looks of it, Nashville is cheaper, but if I want to live near the Vanderbilt campus, it'll still be pretty pricey. Still a lot cheaper than where I'm from though!

  3. Hey all, newbie here. Grats so far to those who have already gotten acceptance letters! Like many of you, I've been checking results at an unhealthy rate... So far, I've applied to:

    • Vanderbilt, Peabody: Accepted (no information on funding or assistantships yet)
    • Michigan State University: Reeejected :(
    • University of Texas - Austin: Accepted
    • University of Pittsburgh: Awaiting decision
    • Seattle University: Awaiting decision

At this point, I'm leaning heavily toward Vandy. However, the uncertainty regarding funding makes me nervous. Does anyone have information on the approximate number of students who get assistantships and/or scholarships at Peabody? Also, how important do you think a college's reputation/name is in the field of student affairs? Just trying to weigh how much more I'd be willing to pay to attend Vandy, as Texas also looks appealing, especially if I can secure an assistantship with in-state tuition.

Anyway, best of luck of everyone!
