Well that's it for me. Rejected. At least the waiting game is over and my plan B is ok and involves 2 weeks of mostly vacation.

I had a really odd dream interview experience tonight. The woman before me presented her research with a painting and something along the lines of "I watched flowers". And they seemed to be impressed. But I couldn't really present what I wanted because everyone in the audience kept interrupting with nonsense. And then everyone had to sing... So if I don't hear today I might contact the adcom... I mean 3 days before the interviews it is almost guaranteed that they rejected me, but I at least want to know.

One of my recommenders is like that too. She is sure I'll get in... most of friends and family too... Sigh I'll probably disappoint a ton of people tomorrow or on Tuesday.

Congrats! Sigh... nothing... I really don't know if they still send out invites in the week of the interviews or just let the rejected wait that long...

Interviews are on the 11th and 12th. I have not heard back yet. I wonder if I should slowly get used to the thought of being rejected...

I did ask two questions concerning my application material (formal stuff, what they prefer...) I don't think it made any difference...

Yes, Basel citizen. I am still waiting... Should hear back either for an interview or get rejected this week, since interviews are 11th and 12th of February according to the course website. How is yours going?

Oh god I just got a mail titled "rejection/waitlisted" but it was for a one day event I applied for (something cool but not important). Took my mind 2 long seconds to realize that the title was in German, and therefore it is for sure not Oxford. Phew. On a side note: I decided to rewatch firefly while waiting.

Yes. It does remind me of writing my medschool admission exam. Everyone in the room knew that they would just take the top 20% but we still honestly wished each other good luck.

Oh, sounds stressful. I did TA anatomy, but TA's don't cover classes here. Good luck! All that talk on allergies. One thing I am most grateful for in my family is that allergies are almost unheard of (I can't think of anyone I am blood-related to that has an allergy). I was really confused when I heard about it first in elementary school. Not really a contribution to the discussion... I just want to be part of the conversation.. The notifications of this thread make me feel like time is passing.

Just send a mail from another mail account to make sure my uni-mail still works. Yes it is ready to receive an email. Though the fact that it is almost 9pm now tells me that it probably wont be today.

I also only applied to one program. Still waiting, deadline was 8th of January and interviews would be on the 11th and 12th of February... I am getting nervous...

Ahhh surprises, yay! I just hope it will be this week or the flight would get really expensive... Nevermind, just give me the interview, even if it is just the day before.

Two emails on my uni-account. Both not related to my application. Two notification sounds. Two missed heart beats.

I just came back. Got some chocolate here but maybe I should eat something real first. it is 2pm and I had an Ice tea today. I expect to hear back from the program I applied to this week, quite nervous.
