Anyone heard from UGA Behavioral and Brain Sciences?

U of Georgia is killing me slowly. Not a peep.

I have a few interviews I'm still waiting to attend, but I have gotten acceptances from UC Santa Cruz (cognitive psych) and UCLA (behavioral neuro), so I have gotten some good news!
Damn, I almost applied to UCLA! At least I'd have heard back something from them by now, haha. Still waiting to hear from UGA BBS program. The waiting is awful.

I did not panic until last night when a friend of mine called me and told me to email all the professors and institutions I've applied to after I told her I haven't received anything from any universities I applied to. And I can't sleep well last night. I am not going to class this afternoon(and I've never missed a class before). I don't even want to eat anything or watch a movie. I think I'm completely freaked out.
No, don't email anyone (with an exception maybe being the graduate school itself, not the specific program or your PI). Better to just leave that alone. I totally understand what you're going through, it isn't a great feeling. Taking time for yourself is fine. Let me suggest going out and doing something active... something you enjoy. Try and get yourself in what Dr. Csikzentmihalyi calls "flow". Get your mind off it and know that you've done everything you can do. (Wiki link)
Good luck and take a breath!

I did - about an hour after I posted that, go figure! I had a phone interview this morning. It really does vary from professor to professor it seems. Which area of focus are you hoping for?
Well I applied to work with a professor in BBS who specializes in Cognitive and Affective. I spoke to him in early November and he wasn't sure he'd be taking a student, so I'm really not confident about it right now. GradStatus still says, "decision is pending", though.

Has anyone heard back from U of Georgia's Behavioral and Brain Sciences Program? I called the department yesterday and was told they don't have a set interview date, but rather the POIs contact potential students on their own. They also don't have a set time frame for this to happen, and that it occurs all throughout the Spring (prior to April 15th, of course). So much for narrowing that down!
Ugh, I applied there as well and haven't received news of any kind. Thanks for posting this, though. Have you heard back anything yet?

I'll be heading to Auburn University for the Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences program. Congrats to all who have made their decisions (and good luck to those still waiting). Enjoy the next few months, because things are about to get serious!
