They mentioned their visit day, but unfunded I'm sure as the MA program would be unfunded. That's just my assumption

Got my alternate acceptance to NYU's MA program. Still no word on CUNY. Considering calling the office today and asking for a status update since they seem to have sent out a few of everything already (acceptance, wait-list, rejections). Has anyone else had success doing this?

Agreed ^. They want to make sure they're offering a student who is available. I'd say it's a good sign. Congratulations!

Currently mourning NYU hopes and dreams

I honestly wonder the same thing. For me, my GPA was high, GRE was decent. I think what probably helped were my recommendation letters and possibly my writing sample.

Awesome! Same to you! Maybe we'll cross paths at a recruitment visit. Yeah I'm not feeling too optimistic especially if a CUNY rejection comes in. Oh well! NYU seems to take their time
