Is it appropriate to send an email to the schools from which I got rejected, asking if there was any part of my application which was particularly unappealing? I was a little surprised by some of the results, and I just want to know where I went wrong.

yes. I think I'm the only one contacted for econ so far. Kind of embarrassing, since it's my own school. On another note, what do I do now? Should I contact them to see where I am on the waitlist? Can I improve my chances at this point
