Hi everybody. If any of you are second-year applicants (or just more savvy that me), would you be able to tell me about waitlist decorum? I know that people have contacted UC and found out about their informal list, but what about the other schools? If you've found yourself in that weird limbic place between acceptance and rejection (after rejections have gone out--like with Ohio, for example), have any of you gone ahead and contacted any of the programs? Is that bad application karma to do so? I would've expected the schools to be proactive on that front, just to let people know where they stand. Maybe this year is just slow all around.
