[Input on SBU phd in social work]

Does anyone have an opinion on SBU's phd program in social welfare? I know the official ranking, but that's only part of the story.  How likely is it to get a good job? What's the program like? How does the name carry compared to others?

Does anyone have any insight on the chances of getting in to NYU's phd program from the waiting list? Or when I might hear back?

 

It's my first choice, so if anyone here is ambiguous and would like to turn it down... That would be great also.
