I am applying to stat PHD program in 2016 FALL and have got an offer from NCSU and one from UCDavis. It's a bit hard to choose where to go.
1\I am interested in data mining and machine learning. UCDavis does better in this area than NCSU? （NCSU may focus mainly on traditional areas and biostat)
2\The department rank of NCSU is higher than UCDavis in USNEWS but UCDavis is a more prestigious college.
3\I hope to work in industry after graduating. There are more chances in NCSU and it's easier to get a job.
Can anyone give me some suggestions which to choose? Thanks very much!!!
