I'm caught between 3 different acceptances, so I would really appreciate any advice or input on any of these 3 programs!
1. Villanova- English MA with a certificate in Gender and Women's Studies. There is a possibility for a fully funded assistantship which I will know about soon, but for decision purposes, let's pretend like I already have it (because my decision may be easier if I don't).
2. NYU- Draper Interdisciplinary program. I would still be able to study literary cultures and gender politics within this program, and it comes with a 30% scholarship.
3. University College London- Gender, Society, and Representation MA. This would be the same yearly cost as NYU, but it's a 1 year program, making it half the total cost.
Obviously, #2 and #3 would be very costly, but as of now I would most likely independently finance most of it and take on only some some student loans. Villanova would be much less costly in every sense- tuition, cost of living, etc. I know to some it may seem ridiculous to even consider turning down a fully funded program, but let's assume the idea of returning back to Pennsylvania and rejecting a big name school is what's leading me to at least ask for input. Anything helps!
