Definitely not. My impression was they didn't like me. I don't know why They kept asking over and over if I would live in other countries in the Gulf which I wouldn't so I said either saudi or america. Also they kept wanting to know how I found kaust. Anyways I'm praying for you! good luck.

Thanks dude. So just had an academic interview today. Very broad questions like tell us about your family history or tell us about your academic career. What else..... They asked what will I do if I don't get in kaust, will I live in other khalij countries or what? What do I like to do? What does my parents do, father and mother? Etc inshallah I hear back soon, they said it goes to a committee first before they hear if there is another interview or what

I know that if you want an american or european visa you should have at least 8-10,000 us dollars in your account. They want to know that you are financially stable and won't stay in their country

I applied in March but have only heard from a professor in chemistry so far. Waiting to hear from the admissions team....

When did you apply? Was it after the april 8 deadline? Also who told you that you wouldn't be liked to be accepted in MS/PhD?

I think it is so weird for them to ask about arabic culture? I wonder if it is better for me to say my family comes from Egypt, or say that I am "only" American. Was the second interview by skype?

You know I emailed three teachers with no response and this was in February! I don't know if they don't check their emails or what.

Hey guys.... I submitted my application to KAUST on March 10th. My recommendations were submitted a little later (on March 14th). Do you think I applied too late? I know the deadline is April 8th.
