Didn't get in either!

My friend didn't receive anything either, I find it so strange that only one person heard from them!

I don't think that many departments conduct interviews... I have a friend who applied for the publication department and she didn't get an interview either, even though it's pretty sure that she's going to get in (she's from Harvard, Columbia PhD student and has a previous experience in the field). So I wouldn't worry on this matter! I applied in Art of Africa, Oceania and the Americas.
