With that level of work experience, you should seriously consider getting an MBA. Get yourself a decent GRE/GMAT score, some great LORs and write a heck of an admissions essay and you may have a chance at a top business school. In either case, I think you have a great shot at the Midcareer MPA or the MPA2 at HKS; for sure. Apply to both top MBA and MPA programs.... Aim high and good luck!!

Thanks peregrin!! I got a full HKS International Fellowship plus stipend. Still no word from Reynolds or anything else.... But I am a little bit confused about the International Fellowship. Does anyone know what it is about? And how the fellowship works for the second year? Thanks!!

Now back to the HKS topic… I think the MPA/ID decision will be out by Friday and the MPP will be out by next Monday. What do you guys say? I am waiting for the MPA/ID email… I also applied for the Dubin Fellowship, the Reynolds Fellowship, and the Joint Japan/World Bank Scholarship. Do you know when those decisions will be out? Also, does anyone know how many students are chosen for each of those fellowships?

OK thank you!! =) I have applied to the MPA/ID, since I am from a developing country and I have worked in development in various countries. But I have an MBA and a background in engineering, so now I’m thinking that perhaps the MPA2 would have been a better option… well, I’ll just have to wait for the response. Are the admission emails all sent on the same day? Admitted, rejected, and waitlisted? So far how is the MPP for you? How are you doing with funding? Furthermore, please tell us which school has the hottest guys/girls, HKS, HBS, or HLS? jaja just kidding… I’m just trying to relax because I feel sooo nervous.

What do you know about the MPA/ID program at Harvard Kennedy School? Is it more competitive than the MPP? Has anyone applied this year to the MPA/ID? Do you think HKS admissions could be coming out by mid march? Any word yet?
