It's the difference of paying 660 to 1200 per month but I can walk to campus in 10 minutes from the place in back/south end/
-
Is it worth it to pay more and live in Back Bay/South End than to pay less and live in dorchester near fields corner/ashmont?

Yeah, I went ahead and accepted my first choice. I was hoping NYU would get back to me before then, but oh well. Thanks for the update though!

Oh wow. Well congrats on the waitlist. I'm just gonna assume it's a rejection for me haha
-
What do you mean?

I was accepted to my first choice off the waitlist. As soon as I got the waitlist decision, I emailed the graduate coordinator to schedule a campus tour. She got back to me and said the pd would be meeting me that day for an interview. Got admitted shortly after the interview. I know that's a bit of an unorthodox way but hopefully can give some of you hope!

Waiting on NYU's MA program in Human Skeletal Biology. Submitted March 1st. I've called multiple times and just been told, "oh you should be getting a decision soon". Also, waiting on UCL

Called my graduate coordinator yesterday because she was out of the office last week. I was told that this is a non-issue. She said the committee wouldn't even look at it because they had already admitted me and they just look to make sure I graduate.

I mean for the masters program.

Is anyone waiting on NYU?

Davis is so nice! Congrats!

Geography or Anthropology and other questions

In terms of Anthropology, go American. In choosing disciplines, it's all about what you want to do. Are you more behavioral ecology, arch or cultural? -
Yeah, I'm fully planning on communicating this to the graduate coordinator, I just wanted opinions on whether I should be really worried. I know who my graduate advisor is, should I speak to them?

I just mean my offer of admission entirely.

Am I going to get my admission rescinded? So I was accepted into my number 1 choice and I accepted. I'm a senior in college on a quarter system. So when I applied my winter quarter grades weren't in yet. I got really sick with pneumonia(was hospitalized) and had a huge research project to finish to be able to present right before my finals at a conference. I'm retaking 2 classes I got D's in and I know I'll get at least B+ in both classes. However, my winter quarter gpa is 2.48, while taking around 25 units( 7 semester units at a community college which are not included in that gpa and 18 quarter units with only 15 accounting for that gpa) and I'm worried that will cause them to take away my offer. None of the classes I did poorly in are required courses. However, I did get a D last quarter that I couldn't retake. Now, my gpa was lowered to what they had admitted me with because my admitted gpa did not include 12 units of 4.0. This is the portion of my acceptance that says conditions: " Please note that if currently enrolled in a degree program, XXX requires submission of an official transcript bearing successful completion of the degree, including any requirements communicated to you by your specific program prior to matriculation. Should either your final transcript reflect an academic performance below XXX standards or you engage in any unprofessional conduct, please be advised that your offer of admission may be compromised. " I will still graduate and my gpa should still rise with my final quarter. Will I be rescinded? I already accepted, got my welcome letter and paid my deposit. I went for my interview a few weeks back and got accepted. Please help!
