Hello everyone, checking in here starting my second semester at ISU (first year student). Just wanted to wish everyone the best of luck and offer any insights. Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions and I'll get around to them when I can.
For reference I interviewed with ISU, IU, and Thomas Jefferson University last year in addition to Northwestern two years ago.

I got word the ISU is currently looking to fill a spot, I'm not sure if this is the school included in the second match email. But last year I attempted to second match with ISU, this year I interviewed, and I will be attending ISU. So if anyone has any questions feel free to PM me and let me know! Best of luck for everyone attempting second match!

I'm just wondering, this was a sentence I received in March from Augustana, (a program I received a interview from last year). It seems a bit borderline icky.
"If and when all other things were equal between applicants, preference was given to applicants from areas of the country (USA) which are known to be underserved or have workforce needs."
I received that same email from them and I also felt it seemed off and not really right. Just because you live in a underserved area doesn't mean you will go back there to work, nor would there even possibly be a job available for you. I'm not sure why they decided to make that a criteria as if you can choose where you really grew up at.

Thx for the update. It's not looking good for me. Congrats on ISU
Edit: Got the email from IU and they're filled. I'll try for second match but looks like a second year applicant for me... anyone else a second year applicant and want to chat? I'd appreciate it.
I just got their email as well. I am actually a 3rd year applicant, so keep pushing through!

@adragonisnoslave Just called IU, they have 1 spot left with that person waiting out for an other school. Also a few people ahead of me on the waitlist that seemed very interested in IU. I'm going to give it 30ish mins then go ahead and accept ISU and take myself off the waitlist at IU if nothing changes. Hope you're ahead of me!

3 hours, scramble time!

Nope.
You should try giving them a call, Paula was very nice this morning and I was able to get a little more information out of her than I did yesterday.

I'm waiting for Indiana's waitlist to move. It's my only shot.
Have you heard anything from IU today?

Just accepted an offer to Rutgers. I called to check on my status and she said she was about to call me! I also declined Bay Path!
Congrats!

I just called and they currently have 5 outstanding offers with I believe 3 offers that are leaning heavily elsewhere but also waiting to get off a waitlist. However she said I was midrange on the waitlist, so I'm guessing I don't have much of a shot there. But she also said she might be able to make me an offer, so I'm not sure how big the waitlist is. Maybe something will move in the afternoon. Let me know if you hear anything from them!

Who's still waitlist locked? Who has an offer but is waiting for their top school?
Jefferson is currently locked, so I'm holding a spot at ISU.

@Elisheva and @GCFaith92 I also sent Jefferson an email and will let you know if I hear anything!

@caitob congratulations, i'm hoping I can get an offer there as well! @GCeastcoast I am accepted to Bay Path but if Jefferson or Rutgers give me an offer I am declining and hopefully I will know soon! Is Bay Path your top choice?
Sending you good vibes to get into Rutgers so there's less competition in the Jefferson waitlist .

True but they are only accepting 6. I guess we'll just have to wait it out
They said they would take 6-8, so let's hope it's the higher end! I hope to hear more tomorrow.

Oh that's interesting - I wrote that I wanted to confirm and accept my waitlist offer and asked my position on the list. She just said that the list is fluid and should be moving and she'll let me know as soon as they have any info...
@GCFaith92 I got a similar response from them saying they'll let me know once they know more.

Congrats! I'm now watching the clock and getting anxious as it gets closer to 2pm.

Waitlisted at UCI.
Guess I'm out. What a waste of time and money.
I'm sure some of the waitlisted will move, don't give up hope yet!

Still haven't heard from Thomas Jefferson at all. Looks like they sent out some acceptances and some rejections so maybe I'm waitlisted? I'd love to know, they're the last I am waiting to hear from
I also have not heard from them yet. So maybe we're waitlisted? Here's to hoping maybe they're just busy and releasing a few at a time!

Accepted to ISU, some relief finally. Still waiting on Jefferson.
-
Waitlisted for Indiana University
Haven't heard back from ISU or Jefferson yet.

Ugh, this waiting is literally killing me, especially since it's all programs people have been hearing back from!

I know ISU is running a little behind schedule on reviewing applications, there were still a few waiting to be reviewed yesterday and I think they still have to compile the results from the different reviewers and then make decisions from there. Not sure how long they are expecting that to take them, but guessing it would be into at least next week (but don't quote me on that! )
