I am interested in obtaining the CPH credential, but am still uncertain about its usefulness. I have seen some other informative discussions that suggested the credential had questionable value. However, it seems those discussions are several years old now and the credential has been out for a while longer. I was wondering if current opinion of the CPH credential in public health practice has improved in recent years, or if it is still not regarded very highly.
I have no aversion to taking the exam and I definitely endorse the concept of elevating the profession through credentialing, but do not want to spend the money if it is of little use. Also, does anyone know how expsive it would be to obtain continuing education credits for its maintenance? I welcome all perspectives.
