  1. I'm right here Rrahman. I'm speechless. Haven't heard back from the world bank. Yet. ? Got tired of waiting and took up a position with the central bank in my country. Started 1st July. I remain hopeful though (Lol).
  2. She doesn't specify what scholarship she got... No?
  3. Busy drafting emails to us. I hope
  4. Have faith. Anything can happen between today and Friday! ?
  5. Hi Rrahman, hi all !! Same over here. Waaaaaaaaaitinggggg! Trying to remain positive. I'm sure we will all be getting "Congratulations" emails from the secretariat next week. ?? All the best!
  6. Anxiety is at peak. Heart rate is at 1,000 beats per minute!
  7. @KingKan That's perfect then regarding the transfer! Past trends show that JJWBGSP informs most winners at the end of June (25th to 30th). Latest July 1st and 2nd. @rrahman1210 All we can do is wait. Best of luck to all.
  8. Hello @KingKan It was clearly stipulated in the JJ/WBGSP application guidelines that, and I quote "Attention! Winners of our scholarship who will study in the United States are required to travel to the US on a J-1 Visa. The World Bank will rescind the scholarship if the scholar travels to the United States by any other means." Does this mean you will have to apply for a J-1 visa if/when you are awarded the scholarship? The world bank strictly requires awardees to travel on a J-1 visa (using form DS-2019 to apply) and not the F-1 visa. I don't want you to miss out on the scholarship over a mere technicality Please refer to page 5 of the application guidelines here http://siteresources.worldbank.org/INTJJWBGSP/Resources/Application_Guidelines_2016_ENGLISH_FINAL.pdf
  9. Rrhaman, Brandeis did not give me a deadline to pay. They just advised us not to make the initial/enrollment deposit without securing 100% funding, all this information can be found on the admitted students' page on the Heller School website http://heller.brandeis.edu/admissions/admitted-students/index.html However, it would be great if the JJWBGSP made all the necessary arrangements like you said. I do not know much about the process. Just waiting to see how events unfold.
  10. Hey Rrahman, I have to pay $500 to secure my place at the University but I can only do that after I've secured 100% funding.
  11. Yes, I did get a partial scholarship from the school.
  12. Greetings all. Congrats to you all on making it this far. Same boat as well. Got the May 6 email. Waiting it out. Hoping for the best. Best of luck to all.
