  1. Undergrad Institution: Top honors college at a large state school Major: Statistics GPA (through end of junior year): 3.75 Will graduate in May, 2017. Type of student: Domestic femaleGRE V: 160, Q: 161 Recommendations: -Probability, Mathematical Statistics, and Statistical Inference Professor: Strong -Statistical programming Professor: Strong -Research Mentor from department of biostatistics: Strong (Have been working on senior thesis for approx. 1 year) Experiences: -Data analyst summer internship at a pharmaceutical data company. -Statistics tutor on campus tutoring introductory statistics and statistical methods. Schools: UNC Chapel Hill Biostat Colorado State Stat University of Pittsburgh Biostat University of South Carolina Stat San Diego State Stat Considering applying to Emory biostat, George Washington biostat, and UC Davis stat, but don't know if I would be in the mix. Other: Excellence in Statistics given by statistics department at end of junior year; base SAS programming certified My goal is to work in industry or research in areas of biostat such as environment, cancer, or clinical trials. May be interested in pursuing PhD further down the road. Any thoughts on my chances or other programs to apply to are much appreciated.
  2. I am interested in getting my masters in statistics or biostatistics, but it seems that most schools only fund PhD students. Does anyone know of universities that do offer funding (TA/RA positions) to masters students in statistics? Or does anyone know scholarships to apply to to lower the cost of a masters?
