I noticed on another thread that you were accepted into Korbel. Congrats! I'm also waiting on Korbel. But, ya I wish GSPIA would include their funding with the acceptance.
I was! I hope you hear soon! Korbel is currently my top because I already live in Denver so I wouldn't have to move!

Just got my acceptance too! I wish they included funding in their acceptances instead of making us wait.
-
Got accepted as well! Surprised me considering one of my LOR's never got sent in.
-
Just got my email saying to check my status page and I am accepted! With a small scholarship too! Has anyone else heard anything??
-
Korbel sent out an email last night stating they will be sending emails about acceptance starting March 2nd to March 8th! I guess the extension didn't delay notification by too much!
-
Has anyone heard from GSPIA yet? I was under the impression they were sending out letters yesterday, March 1st!

According to their website, they have extended their deadline to Jan. 23.... Does this mean acceptance letters will be released later? What is up with this?

Program: Security Studies
Schools applying to: American, GW, Georgetown, Korbel, Pitt, Bush I am open to suggestions!
Undergraduate institution: Large Public School in the South
Undergraduate GPA: 3.336. I had a rough first semester but upward trend from there
Undergraduate Major: BA in Political Science and International Studies (double major)
Undergraduate Minor: French
Study Abroad: Brussels, Belgium
GRE: Taking it in the next month
Age: 22, will be 23 upon enrolling
Years Out of Undergrad (if applicable): will be 1
Years of Work Experience: Currently serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA in my gap year. I interned at a US Embassy in Europe for 3 months in the Political/Econ section. By the time I enroll I will have over a years worth of experience. I worry this isn't enough.
Volunteer: I am a Red Cross Disaster Relief Volunteer. I also have extensive volunteer work in my community
Organizations: Sorority (held position), College Republicans,
Awards: Dean's list, Global Studies Award (program through my university that awards students who studied abroad and focused their studies on learning how to conduct business/relations with different nations and cultures)
Languages: French
Quant: I took Macro/Micro but they were not my finest moments.
I have some concerns and worries that my GPA is too low. My projected GRE scores seem strong but I wont know until i actually take it. I worry that I don't have enough experience to be a competitive candidate

Korbel is a great choice and Denver isn't half bad either! I saw that you are most interested in quant courses. I know for the International Security program you are required to take a least 2 courses in quantitative methods. I'm not sure how in depth you want to go but there are opportunities at Korbel to do so!
