What? But it says 16th March.
ot this standard rejection letter on Tuesday. I was expecting it too so was prepared for the rejection. Europe is also going towards nationalism so I can see why I was rejected despite the good grades and good GRE. Also got into Columbia but will probably be going to Stellenbosch or Norway instead. Can't deal with Trump and his idiots. Good Luck to those still waiting but if you're American or Asian you probably got it already!
- was expecting this. I Received the email a day ago. According to the Facebook Group the Institute rejected 95% of the Africans (Those who indicated that on FB and shared their true result) Maybe our grading system isn't up to their standards but only 3 of those actually went to African Universities most are from UK or USA. Lucky for me I got into a US program but I am scared of Trump and his America so probably won't go to Grad school at all.

The Miss World screw up was inspired by this. #TrueStory
(Sorry please spare my bad sense of humor)

They sent out wrong decisions :S This was 2 years ago, though
-
Neither is anyone replying to emails anymore, nor are they taking phonecalls.
-
i am only hoping they won't screw up this time like once they did

true, I have a 3.3 if converted to a 4.0 scale and yet Cambridge invited me for an interview. my research interests weren't that clear so I got rejected(applied for mphil), but at least they gave me hope
i know what you mean, but we cannot help it. we can just wait & watch!

Also check where the person is from, etc. Sometimes they are also looking for a diversity factor.
What is the full profile of this 3.9 scorer? Just curious.
I dunno about the profile, but heres the comment he/she provided-
- Not sure why my application has been rejected or many of those who applied too. It's like I am being punished for being highly intelligent. Not sure what I did wrong. Probably going to accept the RAND offer now.

Thats great! I think the results are being announced for a few.
*fingers crossed*
*Fingers crosed*
However, just saying, top schools like LSE, Cambridge, Oxford, Manchester do not focus so much on grades. and let's face it, grades do not define the quality of students. CANNOT define at this stage :/

Guys!
Someone just posted their result dated 15th March. So it starts again!
I hope today is the day for 'I' International Students.
All the best everyone! ?
It is 7 there, so either the person is updating yesterday's result or just messing around with us

I work for a non profit in Mumbai, work ex.
Its not International though. I feel this whole focus on grades is unfair as its so hard to get stellar grades in India. It's also hard to gain international exposure when it's all so expensive for students from developing countries.
I really hope you get in though, it will give me hope.
I know, we are graded really poorly. DU grades well comparatively well, though. I am from Xavier's, Kolkata. My LoR mentions that I was among the top 10% of my class (class strength 60) but I am really doubtful as I was already deferred once.
Anyway, all the very best to you, I will be reapplying next year too if I don't make it this time round -

Nope, I plan to reapply next year.
However, I did not have a GRE score and while they say its not necessary, I don't know if having one actually helps in some way.
What is your GPA? Mine was 3.3.
I have a mere 63% On my defense, we were scored really frugally, the topper got a 70 :/
What are you doing rn? As in, gathering work-ex or studying further?
-
HATING MY TIMEZONE RN! Makes the wait seem so much longer!!!

Not to freak you out but I applied last year and they waitlisted me till March, after which they eventually rejected me. Not that it will definitely happen to you but it's a possibility.
Lol it does freak me out But seeing how they reject some really good profiles i am prepped. I have a sucky GPA anyway
Did you reapply this year?
-
They will email us when the portal is updated. The email just raises the anxiety because it does not reveal the result.
Also, isn't the fin aid info usually released with the final results?
