  1. So I am applying not just to 1 field (biology life sciences), due to not having many options in that field, but also some schools for another field, which is related.

So how do I explain this to letter writers? To get the letter writer to write unique letters for each program, or do you think the school would understand if the letter mentioned a field i'm not applying to them for?

  2. Quick question if I may: a couple of recent posts after the real test make comments about how the "experimental section" was - are you guys just guessing or does something at the end indicate to you which one was experimental?

The posts talk about experimental section so matter of factly I thought I'd ask.

Edit: which specific section, not whether quant or verbal

  3. i started an app and there is a section that asks to list other schools i am applying to. when i first started, i had a longer list, but changed my mind on some.

when i went to remove certain schools, i found that it will let me remove any/all except the first one? the school name is there and it can't be clicked/edited? anybody encounter this before?

What do you mean by “the field in general?” I want to make sure that we’re talking about the same thing. I haven’t described a specific project, like “frame narratives in three seafaring tales,” but have indicated a time period and theoretical approach. Plus, I’ve described the general arguments that I tend to make/like to make within that context. It is somewhat specific—I’ve basically said, “Here’s the direction I would go in if admitted sans references to specific texts.”

I’m not sure if that’s similar to what you did, or even if that’s the right approach, so hopefully others will weigh in.

Your thread came up on the forums homepage on the right-hand side, so I clicked it..........didn't realize this was about the Humanities! Sorry!
