Congrats embenAUD! Best of luck at Dalhousie in September!

Do you mind sharing your volunteering experience?

    Thank you!

I had 40 hours volunteering in a clinical setting with an Audiologist, 20 hours volunteering with the "Society of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Nova Scotians", and 20 hours in total job shadowing Audiologists and SLPs. I also had many hours of undergraduate research experience, which I think may have helped as well.

    Hi to all!

I got an acceptance on ORPAS for U of T and already accepted because that was my top choice and I couldn't be happier (I'm honestly still in shock)!! I was waitlisted at both Western and McMaster (#12/36) ! To those of you waitlisted hopefully you move up a spot as I already accepted U of T :) I am so excited to get to know anyone else who accepted there! And to everyone else still waiting to hear, keep your heads up, you're all great and you've made it this far so stay positive !!

Hey! Congrats on your acceptance to U of T :)

What does it mean when people inclue (#12/36) in their blog? It looks like a position on the waitlist (?) but I thought that information was impossible to get.

    Thanks!

Hey embenAUD, did you make another account using your new Western ID number or you just didnt bother and just stuck with the first ID number you got?

I just used the original one that I made.

It gave me a username of EBENNE26 and I had to create a new password.

    hope that helps!

I got this email even though I already activated western identity:

This email is to remind applicants who have not already done so that you must activate your Western Identity in advance of admissions decisions being released on Friday, March 31, 2017.

Anybody else have the same email?

    Yes, I got that too

    I called them

the emails for acceptance where sent out on the 15th and emails for waiting list will be sent out next week.

In the past years, rejections were sent out in the mail after that

There is not that many people posting but I was way who here has applied to Dalhousie?

I applied to Dal, I haven't heard anything yet.

Guessing that means I'm either waitlisted (Fingers crossed) or rejected.

  6. Someone just wrote on the "Canadian application thread 2017" for SLP, they said that they were on the phone with Dalhousie this morning and the committee have finalized their decisions.

Hopefully this means that we'll be hearing back soon!!

Best of luck everyone! Let the nerves begin.

Hello everyone! I thought I should start a new conversation for this year. I hope everyone's applications went well!

I was on the waitlist for UBC last year, and I am applying again this year with a lot more experience & 1-year MA in Linguistics involving a research project in Acoustics. I really hope I get in this time!

    Anyone else in re-applying?

    Hey!

Best of luck with your application, there's an "Audiology Canada 2017 Application" thread already started if you wanted to check that out :)

I got notified yesterday (by phone) of an offer of admission to Dalhousie, contingent on choosing between the SLP and Audiology programs. I don't know whether this means they have started sending out acceptances. Mine might have been early because of the condition attached, I don't know.

    I am racked with indecision.

    Hi!

Congrats on getting accepted to Dalhousie.

I was just wondering if you could tell me what your GPA/average was (on a 4.3 scale) at the time of acceptance?

    Thanks!
