  1. I provisionally accepted my offer to U of T and now when I try to log back into ORPAS it says my application is being processed and I can't view anything. I didn't receive a confirmation email either. I am also a bit worried I did something wrong...like accidentally withdraw my offer or something...imagine . Anyways, when I replied to U of T about the open house I just added in that I provisionally accepted my offer and am hoping I did so correctly

  3. I am in the same boat!!! I am currently taking introduction to linguistics as well as phonetics courses and will be completed these by the end of April after exams. I am not worried about these courses as I am doing very well. I am also currently taking an online physiology course (not anatomy, but similar thing I suppose) through Athabasca University. I have a year to complete the course, but I am trying to complete it in 5 months haha (since ORPAS needs final grades by June 30th...yet U of T gave a different date on their website...I will need to ask them about that)! So far I am on track but definitely feel stressed that I won't finish in time or won't get a decent mark. Hang in there.
  4. Accepted to Toronto (on ORPAS)!! Waitlisted for Western and McMaster. Unfortunately the email from McMaster said they won't notify waitlisted applicants until April 15th if we are accepted, yet I have to confirm my offer to Toronto on April 14th?
  5. I got an email from McMaster too! Today was my 23rd birthday so woohoo, happy birthday to me.
  6. In the personal submissions section there is a spot for "other volunteer experiences", which is separate from "volunteer experiences in SLP or AUD". What types of things do you guys think are acceptable in this other category? I have volunteered with international students at my university (mentorship), at my psychology undergraduate research event, and took notes for students with disabilities. Is it okay for me to include these things even though they aren't directly related to speech pathology?
  7. OMG wow. I can't believe I misread that. Thank goodness for you correcting me.
  8. Hello everyone! So the statement of intent word limit for both U of T and Western is 3000 words. I have written about half of mine so far. Just wondering if admissions will expect most applicants to write up to 3000 words or if it looks better to have less since you are more concise and to the point. Thoughts?
  9. Hey everyone! I am applying to U of T, Western and McMaster. For McMaster the ORPAS application doesn't indicate that a personal statement is required...interesting. I guess acceptance to McMaster is only based off of grades and references?? Just wondering how many volunteer or shadowing hours people have done? So far I only plan on doing the minimum hours (14) in November. What is everyone's thoughts on this?
