I'm thinking of visiting just because their offer list was so small and the chances are good that someone will get in off the wait list. I'll be on the east coast next week anyway, and I live far away, in San Francisco. Let me know if you decide to go though -- if we overlap, we could be teeth grinding wait-listers together lol ps -- a really good friend of mine goes to UMass. He just started this past fall. If you visit there, or just want to talk to him, I can send you his contact info. Sweetest guy ever. He studies African American lit -- modern stuff, I think, and he focuses on gender.

Hi w2010, I was also wait listed at Penn. I'm not sure how many people are on the list, but I also heard that it was unranked. Did you talk to David Kazanjian, the graduate chair? I called him to ask that same question and he was super nice. I'm sure if you called him, or even emailed, he could also give you an idea of your chances of getting off the wait list. Do you think you'll still go and visit Penn?
