Ah you interviewed for decision science!  Yeah I wasn't expecting much because I know they admit so few students - my first choice would definitely be PHS.  Best of luck!

I was actually interviewing for management. But I agree -- considering how few students they admit, I really have no idea what to expect. I'm trying to not have my hopes too high, since it is definitely my top choice.

Management track for me. I suppose they only have 1-2 students per track each year so I shouldn't expect much :/ Has anyone been rejected yet or are we all in the same boat? Maybe we're on a makeshift waitlist/limbo now. Who knows.

When I talked to admissions a few weeks ago they said we'd know "very soon." I think we may have different definitions of what very soon means!

I have not heard anything since my interview. They told me mid to late February for decisions, so hopefully it actually is soon now. Looking at past years on the survey, late February seems about right.

  3. I did interview for the management track, and I know one other person was there for ESS at the same time as me. I'm not sure how any other tracks work, but for management they told me they would try to release decisions by mid to late February.

I got an email Friday evening informing me I was waitlisted at Hopkins for HSR & Policy. They said they could only offer admission to 3 students. I have not yet heard from UC Berkeley. I try to post all of my information in the survey, hopefully it's helpful!

Hi all! Has anyone heard from Boston University re their prospective PhD students day? I had a phone interview for the Health Services Research program on January 13 and haven't heard anything yet...

Same for health services research. Nothing since my phone interview earlier in the month.

For UW health services it should be the first few days of February, for Hopkins mental health it should be mid February, and I don't really have any solid prediction for UNC health policy and management. This is all just based on what the results page says for the past few years for the programs I'm applying to.

I was contacted by UNC Health Management and Policy today asking to do a short phone interview (I'd spoken with the POI last fall at length regarding research fit,) but I didn't get an idea of when they'd be making any decisions.

  6. So far I have had phone interviews at Boston University and Brown, with Brown then reaching out to invite to recruitment day 1/27. I also received an email from a faculty member at Johns Hopkins asking to set up a phone interview time within the next few weeks. No other word yet.

Good luck to everyone out there! The waiting game is not easy!
