I just was sent the list of professors that will be interviewing me for a recruiting weekend in an umbrella program. However, only 1/3 is one I actually requested/want to work with. The other 2 have interesting research but not what I want to do. Is the interview for the sole purpose of identifying a potential supervisor? Will I ruin my chances of being accepted if I tell these professors I wouldn't want to do a rotation with them?
Could someone with experience with Yale BBS share the post-interview acceptance rate? I read that its quite low relative to other programs (50%). I just wanted to confirm this was true as this the only interview offer I have received and it will impact whether I apply to other programs (in Canada) with January deadlines. Thanks in advance
Let me know what they say I mean I can imagine its difficult sending so many emails in one day and there has only been one CAMB Cancer Bio acceptances posted so far...
