I believe the Master of Teaching does require you to write a thesis. My friend is in the program right now and she is writing one:

"Graduate Research

Over the two years of the program, you will complete a research project on a topic related to teaching and learning. Prior research experience is not a requirement or an expectation for admission to the program. Your research project will examine both the educational theory relating to a topic and its practical application to teaching. You will be carefully guided through the project."

That information is wrong. Both programs require you to do a research project.

I'm wondering what the difference is between all candidacies and first choice candidacies. Perhaps this means the # of first round of offers they sent out?

I received my unofficial offer on Feb 14th, and even though the MA program is my first choice, I feel like I can't turn down a BEd program until I have an "official" offer. In my opinion, don't pick an age group that you aren't passionate in, you aren't going to have a good experience at OISE. At the end of the day, if you are a effective educator you will get a job regardless of what school you went to. York and Western have a great name for teachers college.

Also... I contacted OISE last week. The liaison office said that their goal is to start sending out the official letters on March 1. If you live in the GTA, expect a letter by this coming weekend! --or next week!

I figured out how to log into ROSI. It says that my application is active. On ACORN, it says I am enrolled in the program. Is this an indication of acceptance
