Thanks for this insight! I was using that website as a guest so I wasn't able to get to the roommate section. I'm still waiting on another school to get back to me before I accept Michigan's offer (and then I can access this part). I'm glad to hear it's that helpful!

Right now I prefer central campus so I can be closer to the town and walk to class. For the past two years I've been living in a neighborhood with nothing of interest to do in a walkable area so I'm looking to change that. I'm trying to keep rent in the $700s if I can - I'm surprised at how expensive even that is, although it's much cheaper than my current rent... When I visit this weekend I'll be looking into some two bedroom places but I'm also looking at places that just have a room open in a 2-4 bedroom place. I can let you know if I find any leads you might be interested in! What housing preferences do you have?

It does seem like a good deal. I'm not looking into the graduate housing because I need to bring my cat with me.

I'm really excited to visit Ann Arbor next weekend, my program is having a visiting day for accepted students. I can only stay in the area for one day afterwards, as its a really long drive. I'm planning on lining up apartment visits for that extra day and I'm starting to get anxious. Looking for a cat friendly place near Kerrytown/Old West Side. Let me know if you have any leads! I'm also going to see if any of the other visiting students needs a roommate too...
