  1. I did too! Mostly just a congratulations/asking if I had questions
  2. Accepted at u of t and western and waitlisted at Mac! I'll probably be taking Western for any U of T waitlisters out there! Congrats everyone!
  3. I believe they will email us yes!
  4. It's been a long time waiting. We can do it guys!
  5. Oh really, thats so funny! I only know of myself and two other girls applying from windsor, so its cool to see someone else!! Its awesome that you got McGill though!! I also applied to Western, Toronto and Mac, and also had the Mac interview, so I'm just anxiously waiting!
  6. Congrats! Did you only apply to McGill, or other schools as well?
  7. For me, I would say Western is my top choice, but it and Toronto and McMaster are all within 4 hours of my hometown. Western is closest to me, I love the in house clinic, and I really like their graduate apartments (which I toured in the summer - only downside was no AC). Really though, I would take any program. I would probably go to Toronto as a second choice just because I'm still slightly apprehensive about McMaster being a new program. but I'll be incredibly happy with any offer of admission.
  8. Congratulations everyone, on your Dal acceptances!!
  9. Agreed, i compulsively check everything I could be notified on, even though I only applied to orpas schools and know I won't be notified till the 31st! Stay positive everyone, only a few more days/weeks to go!
  10. I also think mine went okay, but it's so hard to tell! They gave very little feedback, I thought. It's also crazy because it still depends on where you are in the 125 grade wise - if you're on the lower end, it does put you at a disadvantage. And i can't believe they're only accepting 28. I hope everyone else's went well!! I'm kind of hoping they will tell us before April 1st just cause they sent out the interviews a little early but I think that's just wishful thinking.
  11. Congratulations!! Also, I hope everyone's McMaster interviews went well! All there is to do now is wait!
  12. Hmm okay, good to know. Thank you!
  13. From the other forums, it looks like Western sent them out around the middle of February, but Toronto didn't. So it looks like we're just waiting on Western
  14. I haven't gotten anything either... from Western or Toronto! Has anyone received acknowledgment from Toronto either?
  15. I haven't yet.. I am hoping soon though!!
  16. I got one too!! This is so exciting!!!
  17. I was wondering the same thing!
  18. Since this is my first time applying, I'll probably apply again at least one more time if it doesn't happen. Do you guys think that McMaster will send emails to applicants who don't get interviews as well, or just to successful applicants?
  19. I hope so! I was thinking that maybe because ORPAS still doesn't have our GPA calculations thats why they haven't sent out confirmation emails yet? Just a thought!
  20. I like the idea of the MMI's, just cause it gives you a chance to really let them get to know you, more than in a 3000 character statement of intent. I am also a little nervous about them not being accredited yet, but McMaster is an amazing (and tough to get into) school, with a great med school, so I'm sure there will be no problems. After seeing some of the amazing stats on this website, I'm starting to think McMaster is my best shot! I also think that being in the inaugural class would be a really cool opportunity. It's just killing me not knowing whether my GPA is good enough or not! Good luck everyone.
  21. Hi guys! I'm already getting so anxious even though it's only been 3 weeks since the application deadline. I've read through just about every year's Canadian SLP thread and figured I'd join in. It's so exciting to actually be able to talk to the people who might be our future classmates. I've applied to U of T, Western and McMaster. I have about a 3.88 sGPA right now (cumulative probably around the same), and all my prereqs are between 3.9-4.0, except for one, which is 3.7 (stupid research methods). I have around 240 hours of volunteering directly under a speech pathologist and then another 250 working with kids with developmental disabilities (most see a speech path). All my volunteering is child based. I have a little bit of research experience (25 hours), but in an unrelated field, and a few other extraneous extracurriculars/volunteering. For those of us applying to McMaster, when do you think we'll find out about the interviews? (they say the last week of february, which technically is the 26-5th of March... do you think they would give us that short of a time to go? Or do you think it'll be the week before? And do you think they'll notify us only if we got an interview or if we didn't get one too? Good luck to everyone! I hope you all get your top school
