Does anyone have any experience with being admitted to the wrong program? Is it possible to transfer to another? Are there any common rules or is it a case by case basis? For example, I was admitted to a graduate school for English. I wanted to be in the creative writing program but accidentally clicked on the writing for public policy program on my application. Assume I am qualified for the other program and there were no additional admission requirements. Any direction on what to do next would be very much appreciated!
