  1. Fingers crossed! I'm trying to juggle offers from three different jobs, and aside from prolonging making a final answer, there's one (teaching) that would end essentially when I'd leave in August and fit this hypothetical timeline perfectly...
  2. I hear that--I have notifications set in my browser for updates on this forum, and it's so surreal to wake up in the morning to a flurry of "bloops" for each post in this thread and then scramble to check my email to see if the UK news has finally hit, expecting every day to be the day now that we've passed the third Tuesday of March. Aaaahhhhhh...
  3. And with each passing day my descent into madness becomes more and more literal and less figurative. Chin up though, fellow UK applicants (and everyone else waiting!). Excruciating though it may be, we're all still in the running until told otherwise.
  4. That sounds great! I'm applying for an MSc in One Health/Infectious Diseases at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London. It's a taught master's with a research component, so while a specific research topic hasn't been fully hashed out, I've gotten professor support from their program to work with them on a highly pathogenic parasite in poultry on which he's already conducting research, which ties is nicely to the type of research I had already been conducting as an undergraduate. This program would really just be a dream because there is truly nothing like it anywhere else on the planet, and it has a dual teaching component taught through the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, which is basically the global gold standard institute for infectious disease research. I'm a huge nerd about all this, haha, I could gush about it forever.
  5. Whew, that is actually a huge relief to hear. I had seen a couple of (unsubstantiated) posts either earlier in this thread or last year's that sometimes interviews don't happen but aren't an ominous indication of non-recommendation, but hearing it confirmed definitely helps me breathe a bit more. I'm still hoping to hear news of an interview, but I suppose if one never comes to pass and it all turns out well in the end, I can't complain! Best of luck to you, btw. What is the focus of your project/study?
  6. Hey all, First time posting (though I've read through the entirety of this year and last year's postings in the past couple days), but I'm a current first-time applicant and semi-finalist for a UK Partnership Research/Study award at the Royal Veterinary College. I've been driving myself crazy the past week or so having not heard any news about an interview invitation (and also compulsively checking spam filters to ensure I didn't miss anything!) and watching the days slowly creep by...now that some countries' applicants seem to be hearing back, has anyone from the UK still not been invited to interview? The award I applied for is literally brand new this year, so I'm wondering if that might have something to do with the relative radio silence about communicating with a semi-finalist for this specific award. Best of luck to everyone, by the way, and congrats to those starting to hear back!
